Mid Century Modern furniture in commercials and shows

It is amazing to me how in the past few years the popularity of the Mid Century Modern furniture has grown so much that they are essential for the filming industry. Is not only clear that they are attractive pieces but also versatile to fit any kind of décor and imagination. I have seen very different commercials and even infomercials with great pieces that made me think that their lines are so clean and interesting that if someone wanted to pair them up with any other style they would still go well and rock.
In the Progressive commercial named “Flo time” which you can see on the following link http://www.progressive.com/commercials/flotime.aspx you can clearly notice a Knoll Saarinen fiberglass tulip chair that she is sitting on and in the background a Barcelona chair.
In the Cesar dog food commercial, everything is Vintage on the background from the lawn chair to the coat hanger near the door. In the Campbells kettle soup commercial at the end, the couple seats on a Bertoia dining set. In one of the Maybelline commercials one of the girls is sitting on a green Herman Miller upholstered fiberglass chair. In the Baileys commercial the lady is sitting on an Egg chair by Fritz Hansen. In the Direct TV commercial there is a 60's-70's dining set. On the International Delight almond joy when they are featuring the girl eating the almond joy candy behind her is a 60's-70's dining set with tulip base.
Other commercials like Xfinity, Auto trader, Arthritis medicine Cymbalta and even infomercials and shows also are using vintage pieces on their sets.
The most recent infomercials I saw where; the one for Nutrisystem which you can see by clicking on this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XS5m7UArVI in which you will notice Marie Osmond and the guest Amy are sitting on two Egg chairs designed by Arne Jacobsen. And the one is a face cream infomercial that has a Isamu Noguchi for Herman Miller coffee table.
Not taking into consideration shows like Mad Men or Panam which are a clear example of how we want to bring that whole era of great style back into our lives. There are shows out there that use MCM pieces mixed in with contemporary pieces like the show What not to Wear, at each episode when they review the final looks; they are always standing in front of the mirror and to the left there is a Herman Miller Eames Molded Plywood Lounge Chair which is such a classic piece and an easy design to look at.
Plenty of movies have also done their fare share of MCM pieces on their sets even if they are not trying to portrait that period of time, so let’s keep paying attention as the popularity of vintage grows and let’s keep collecting fabulous designed pieces with great functionality for ever and ever!
